E-safety

E-safety at Pre-school

Bents Green Pre-school regards the safety of their children, staff and anyone connected with the pre-school as paramount.
In order to fulfil this, it is the intention of the group to ensure all staff and committee members are kept up to date with safe practices including the safe practice of the Internet and social networking sites.

Mobile phones

  • The Pre-school has a mobile phone for the use of staff members for Pre-school business. The Pre-school phone number is also used as the contact number for incoming calls, e.g. for parents to let us know reasons for their child's absence, for parents to inform us if they may be late collecting their child.
  •  Members of staff must keep their personal mobile phones in their handbags in the Pre-school cupboard during the Pre-school session times.

We have also implemented “mobile free zones” in accordance with the guidance from the Sheffield Safeguarding Children Board.
Parents and carers are requested not to use personal mobile phones in the Primary room or the corridor.
The pre-school would ask that parents/carers use their phone in the car park area where possible.
